**Early Release Days Schedule for 2020-21: To allow for additional staff training, all Wednesdays in the month of September will be non-student  days. Beginning October 7th, for at least the first trimester, there will be a 2.5 hour Early Release.   **Depending on status of the state's pandemic, the dates may be changed or delayed.

We want to welcome you to the Junction City School District. Thank you very much for taking the time to register your child(ren) for the 2020-2021 year.
 
Students new to the district, can be enrolled through on-line registration. Please read through the below information. After completing and receiving approval (an email that your registration has been accepted) from the Online Registration process, additional forms will be sent to you via DocuSign.  DocuSign paperwork may take up to a week to be emailed during the summer months.
 
Online registration is only for students who did not attend JCHS, Oaklea Middle, Laurel Elementary or Territorial Elementary Schools the previous school year.

To begin registering click on the Online Enrollment Process.

Parents should bring proof of address, their child's birth certificate and immunization records. (Birth Certificate and Immunization record can be brought in after registration if unable to locate.)  Kindergarten students must be five years old before September 1, 2020.

Families may not use addresses of relatives, friends, businesses or daycare to gain access into a school.

2020-21 Immunization Information

Shots are required by law for children in attendance at public and private schools, preschools, child care facilities, and Head Start programs in Oregon. Nearly every place that provides care for a child outside the home requires shots or a medical or nonmedical exemption to stay enrolled.

Student Inter-District Transfers

Notice: Transfer of Openings Notice

Even though there are no openings at this time, families interested in applying for a transfer for the 2020-21 school year can fill out the Inter-District Transfer Application and submit it to Stephanie White in the district office for processing. Please email swhite@junctioncity.k12.or.us with any questions.

Student Transfers: If you live outside the Junction City School District, as a non-resident, your student may apply to attend one of our schools by completing a Student Transfer Application during the month of March.

Openings available are declared by school and grade level, and priority is given to non-resident students who are currently on an approved Inter-District Transfer. Applications received after March 31st, will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Interested non-resident students must fill out the Junction City School District Student Transfer Application form (The form is available from the websites the beginning of March.) Completed forms are submitted to the Junction City School District office by deadline date noted on the form. Accepted applicants are notified the beginning of May.

New requests will be approved from District A to District B only if there is available space at the requested school, the request falls within the number District A has declared to accept, and the number District B has declared to release.

Students in DHS Foster Care:  ORS 339.133 For students in DHS Child Welfare care and custody, the student will continue to attend the school district/school of origin. It is only with a Best Interest Finding, made by the Juvenile Court, that foster students will transition from the school district/school of origin to the school district where the foster home is located.
