Student Inter-District Transfers
Grade Level Openings: Transfer of Openings Notice
Inter-District Transfers are for students who live outside of Junction City School District and want to attend a Junction City school. Families interested in applying for a transfer for the 2023-24 school year into a Junction City school can fill out the Inter-District Transfer Application and submit it to Stephanie White in the district office for processing. Please email [email protected] with any questions.
Student Transfers: If you live outside the Junction City School District, as a non-resident, your student may apply to attend one of our schools by completing a Student Transfer Application during the month of March.
Openings available are declared by school and grade level, and priority is given to non-resident students who are currently on an approved Inter-District Transfer. Applications received after March 31st, will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Interested non-resident students must fill out the Junction City School District Student Transfer Application form (The form is available from the websites the beginning of March.) Completed forms are submitted to the Junction City School District office by deadline date noted on the form. Accepted applicants are notified the beginning of May.
New requests will be approved from District A to District B only if there is available space at the requested school, the request falls within the number District A has declared to accept, and the number District B has declared to release.

Families may not use addresses of relatives, friends, businesses or daycare to gain access into a school.
Early entry into school may be allowed for a student whose fifth birthday occurs after September 1st. Students who turn five after September 1st and before October 1st may be considered for early entry into kindergarten if they are determined to be sufficiently advanced to succeed in the educational program based on academic readiness, cognitive ability and social/emotional functioning and/or physical development AND confirmation of a successful preschool experience.
- Fifth birthday is after September 1st and before October 1st
- Has been determined to be sufficiently advanced
- And there is confirmation of a successful preschool experience
2023-24 Immunization Information
Shots are required by law for children in attendance at public and private schools, preschools, child care facilities, and Head Start programs in Oregon. Nearly every place that provides care for a child outside the home requires shots or a medical or nonmedical exemption to stay enrolled.
