Student Inter-District Transfers

Grade Level Openings: Transfer of Openings Notice

Inter-District Transfers are for students who live outside of Junction City School District and want to attend a Junction City school. Families interested in applying for a transfer for the 2023-24 school year into a Junction City school can fill out the Inter-District Transfer Application and submit it to Stephanie White in the district office for processing. Please email [email protected] with any questions.

Student Transfers: If you live outside the Junction City School District, as a non-resident, your student may apply to attend one of our schools by completing a Student Transfer Application during the month of March.

Openings available are declared by school and grade level, and priority is given to non-resident students who are currently on an approved Inter-District Transfer. Applications received after March 31st, will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Interested non-resident students must fill out the Junction City School District Student Transfer Application form (The form is available from the websites the beginning of March.) Completed forms are submitted to the Junction City School District office by deadline date noted on the form. Accepted applicants are notified the beginning of May.

New requests will be approved from District A to District B only if there is available space at the requested school, the request falls within the number District A has declared to accept, and the number District B has declared to release.

Students in DHS Foster Care:  ORS 339.133 For students in DHS Child Welfare care and custody, the student will continue to attend the school district/school of origin. It is only with a Best Interest Finding, made by the Juvenile Court, that foster students will transition from the school district/school of origin to the school district where the foster home is located.
