Who is Katie Dawson

Prior to joining Junction City School District, Dr. Dawson spent three decades working in education, serving in roles including science teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about instructional leadership, student achievement, building positive school culture, fiscal stewardship, and community partnerships. Dr. Dawson is committed to listening, building strong relationships within the District and Junction City community, and working alongside students, families, staff, and community partners to support students.

We have a strong foundation and a community that cares deeply about its schools and I am committed to working alongside our students, staff, families, Board of Directors, and community to create schools where students thrive and have every opportunity to create bright futures.
