The Business and Financial Department is responsible for the district's fiscal operations of accounting, budget, audit and provides analysis and support to schools, departments, district administration and the School Board in financial matters. The department also directs the activities of Food Services, Accounts Payable and Payroll.
 
NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Junction City School District #69, Lane County, State of Oregon to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026, will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. at the Junction City School District Administrative Office at 325 Maple Street, Junction City, OR and will also be available via Zoom meeting at https://zoom.us/signup. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. A second meeting is scheduled for May 12, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. and will take place on an as needed basis.

Notice of this meeting will be posted on our school district website, www.junctioncity.k12.or.us at least ten days before the meeting.

A copy of the budget document will be available online at www.junctioncity.k12.or.us on or after April 24, 2025 or obtained by mail via email request to [email protected]. The budget will be available for mailing on April 25, 2025.

This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Public comment will be taken in verbal and written form. Written comments received by 12 p.m. on May 5, 2025 will be read into the record during the public comment section of the meeting on May 5, 2025. To schedule written public comment, please provide your name, address, along with the comment to [email protected]. Virtual public comment can be scheduled by emailing your name, address, and email address with the subject “Budget Public Comment” to [email protected] by 12 p.m. on May 5, 2025. In-person public comment can be presented at the meeting. Comments will be subject to a three-minute limit per community member as they are read into the record. Any person may submit questions to [email protected].
 
 
Junction City School District Budget Committee Openings
 
The District has a Budget Committee opening for fiscal year 7/1/2024-6/30/2027.
 
Applicants must live in the District boundaries, be registered voters, and not be an officer, agent, or employee of the District.  Budget committee meetings are public meetings, typically held on a Monday evening for several hours, during the first weeks in May.  There is also the possibility of a budget workshop prior to those meeting if the need arises.
