Laurel’s School Song

Laurel Elementary,
That’s the place I like to be.
I can be me.
You can be you,
And we’ll have fun at learning, too.

As we walk down through our halls,
There’s no rules written on walls.
But, instead, we all request
Be safe, responsible and show respect.

Teachers, students, staff and aides
Sing together and shout this praise.
Laurel Elementary,
That’s the place I like to be.

There Was an Old Woman Who Took a Stroll

There was an old woman who took a stroll, Ou-ou-ou-ou.
She strolled down by the old churchyard, Ou-ou-ou-ou.
She strolled right in the old graveyard, Ou-ou-ou-ou.
She saw a bone upon the ground, Ou-ou-ou-ou.
She took that bone alayin’ aground, Ou-ou-ou-ou.
She strolled back to her li’l abode, Ou-ou-ou-ou.
She went to the cupboard to hide the bone, Ou-ou-ou-ou.
She slowly turned the cupboard’s key, Ou-ou-ou-ou.
She unlocked the door and……..AAGH!!

Circle Round The Zero

Find your lovin’ zero
Back, back, zero

Tap your lovin’ zero

Hunt The Cows
Wake up you sleepyhead and
Go and get the cattle,
Wake up you sleepyhead and
Go and get the cows.

The cows are lost, the sun is warm,
I think I’ll rest, ‘til they come home.

Hambone
Hambone, hambone, have you heard,
Poppa’s gonna buy you a mocking bird,
If that mockingbird won’t sing,
Poppa’s gonna buy you a diamond ring.
If that diamond ring turns brass,
Poppa’s gonna buy you a locking glass.
If that looking glass gets broke,
Poppa’s gonna buy you a billy goat.
If that billy goat won’t pull,
Poppa’s gonna buy you a cart and bull.
If that cart and bull falls over,
Poppa’s gonna buy you a dog named Rover.
If that dog named Rover won’t bark,
Poppa’s gonna buy you a horse and cart.
If that horse and cart falls down,
You’ll still be the sweetest child in town.

patch, patch, patch, clap, clap at the end of each phrase.

Down In The Valley
Down in the valley two by two,
My baby two by two,
My baby two by two,
Down in the valley two by two,
Now rise, Sally rise.

Let me see you make a motion,
Two by two, my baby, two by two,
My baby two by two,
Let me see you make a motion,
Two by two,
Now, rise, Sally rise.

Let me see you make another one,
Two by two, my baby, two by two,
My baby, two by two,
Let me see you make another one,
Two by two,
Now, rise, Sally rise.

Now choose somebody,
Two by two, my baby, two by two,
My baby, two by two,
Now choose somebody,
Two by two,
Now, rise, Sally rise.

Green Sally Up
Green Sally up, Green Sally down,
Green Sally baked her ‘possum brown.
I asked my mama for fifty cents
To see the elephant jump the fence.
She jumped so high, she touched the sky,
And she didn’t come back
‘Til the fourth of July. (Singing’.....)

Patch, clap, right, clap,
Patch, clap, left, clap.
Patch, clap, right, clap, left, clap, both clap,
Repeat x3

Go Away, Go Away
Go away, go away, I don’t know you,
Come again, come again, well yes I do.
Give me your right,
Give me your left,
Give me your hand and let’s be friends,
Give me your right,
Give me your left,
Give me your hands and let’s be friends.
